Good

This post is similar to deep so if you don't want some philosophy then stop now. I was just thinking, good though it is only a four letter word, is one of the strongest in the English language. It always is the absolute right. It is always antithesis of evil. It is always what makes things work out. I don't mean good as in what is good for me at any one time I mean "GOOD". I mean the good that brought the demise of slavery. I mean that good that allowed our world to stay secure in the Cuban Missile Crisis. I mean that good that allowed Martin Luther King Jr. The ability to capture the attention of an entire race and propel the forward from a terrible plight(though not fully). I've heard many people talk about how God is pure love. That is a very powerful statement also. It means that all of us are loved equally by this great being who is love. Love that created love is an amazing thing to think about. However, I have a bone to pick with a pure love God. Love can motivate us to do terrible things. Look at Anakin Skywalker. I think an atonement must be added to the statement that God is pure love. God is love of the good in everything. Not of everything that is here, but of the good in everything that is here. I do not believe that God loves sin, he loves the good in the sinner and allows that good to stay alive in all people. That is all people are basically good, because God allows them to be. That leads me to another, very heartening conclusion. Life really is like Disney movie. Because there is a God, everything will be okay. To stop believing in God would be to stop believing in good.
